“I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, camping, and hiking”

clinical Mental health counselor intern

As a child and teenager I went through events that negatively affected how I thought and felt about myself, others, and the world in general. Having learned from my experiences and gaining a better understanding of my thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, I decided that I wanted to be the support for others that I myself desperately needed.

Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling New Mexico Highlands University – Anticipated graduation May 2020

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Minor in Communications University of New Mexico, 2017

I began my practicum program with A New Awakening Rio Rancho in May of 2019 and have continued with the agency throughout both of my internships. I have been working with adults and children in the areas of trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and anger.

My main goal is to become the best version of myself I can be.  To be a better counselor, I want to obtain additional training with working with children, as well as to become skilled at working with clients who are newly disabled as well as caregivers of disabled family members.
