“I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, camping, and hiking”

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Communications from the University of New Mexico in 2017. Then I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the New Mexico Highlands University in May of 2020.

I began my practicum program with A New Awakening Rio Rancho in May of 2019 and have continued with the agency throughout both of my internships. I have been working with adults and children in the areas of trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and anger.

why i am a counselor

As a child and teenager I went through events that negatively affected how I thought and felt about myself, others, and the world in general. Having learned from my experiences and gaining a better understanding of my thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, I decided that I wanted to be the support for others that I myself desperately needed.

My main goal is to become the best version of myself I can be.  To be a better counselor, I want to obtain additional training with working with children, as well as to become skilled at working with clients who are newly disabled as well as caregivers of disabled family members.
